You need.......the Waste Awareness Certificate

If you produce or handle waste or deal with waste as part of your job, the Waste Awareness Course is for you!

The course aims to provide an introduction to wastes management and provide knowledge, understanding and skills to improve the management of wastes. After attending the one day course you will be able to:

• Understand what is waste
• Reduce, Re-use and Recycle
• Know about disposal routes for remaining wastes
• Deal with waste safely
• Know the legal responsibilities for waste
• Identify sources of help for problems with waste

The course is assessed at the end using an open book, multiple choice, short test. The Waste Awareness Certificate will be issued on completion of the course and test paper and all candidates will be registered with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management.

We are a registered centre to provide training for the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management's Waste Awareness Certificate. This includes the new Construction waste version and will soon include the hot-off-the-press Healthcare waste version. We can hold courses at your place of work or in our offices. To date we have trained over 300 candidates to be Waste Aware!
