Alistair Lamont, WamCal's Managing Director lectures on various waste management courses in Universities throughout Scotland e.g Paisley University and Dundee University and is also involved in the HNC Waste management course. He regularly presents papers at conferences and seminars.

WamCal have previously developed bespoke composting training courses for the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), Remade Scotland and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), and can design training courses for any specific requirements.
